We got a phone call from June’s extremely apologetic and embarrassed teacher. Both she and the aide had been busy helping other students with some craft project while June and the girls at her table were daring each other to cut their own hair. June went to town and gave herself bangs. She did a number on the back of her head, too! I took her to get it cleaned up at a hairdresser the next day.

(TBH, she did a pretty damn good job for a four-year-old with pre-K scissors and no mirror! But don’t tell her I said so.)
