The sailing club we joined is amazing! They have a perfect little spot in York Harbor, it’s surprisingly inexpensive, and you can take out any of their boats.

I had to pass a couple of tests first, of course—a written exam and a practical exam out on the water. I was mildly freaked out since I hadn’t been on a boat for years, but they were mildly freaked out because they’d had a boat go up on the rocks in recent years:

I overprepared and passed the test. (Not to brag or nothing, but the club manager said it was the best written exam she’d seen!)
