They shut down the entire Kittery Foreside (where our house is) once a year for the big Kittery Block Party. Supposedly, the weather has always been spectacular. Not so for our first time. It was POURING.

The kids were pretty grumpy about it. Not even music and hotdogs and chicken skeweres could satisfy them. The local Rotary was giving our rubber ducks, though, so we made a game of floating them down the streams of water on the side of the street:
