Dad took us on a great hike up to Avalanche Lake (with a little extension over to Colden Lake at the top). It was dramatic.

Voicing my concerns about the integrity of the ice so late in the season, I suggested not walking too close together. This idea was summarily dismissed by the others, so I pretended to dilly dally with my camera. (Actually, I got some nice pictures as a result!)
