Near Tooley Pond Rd.
Month: October 2011
caravan
We found an old, rusted out caravan by the side of the road. The grass was nicely cut all around it, but the caravan itself was a-shambles. I went inside to check things out. Sarah stayed outside:

bubbles in the Grasse River
sarah’s ineffective camouflage
Sarah was wise to bring an umbrella on a rainy day. But it didn’t help her blend in with her surroundings very well.
Here she is not blending in at Rainbow Falls:
copper rock falls (from below river level)
a good spot to camp
a pool of water, near a waterfall, on a rainy day
twin falls (the bigger twin)
Sarah and I went for a series of short hikes in the rain the other day, tracking down waterfalls along Tooley Pond Rd. near DeGrasse, NY. It was kind of gloomy out, but the falls were pretty neat! This is the larger of two falls called Twin Falls. (The other one was gimpy and does not deserve a place in this photoblog.)
