We finally got around to the DMV to register Terry (our car). After getting several warnings from cops at random drug control checkpoints, we figured it would be prudent to get rid of our California plates. (Not only that, the local IGA wouldn’t sell me beer with an out-of-state license!)

When we pulled into the lot for the Canton DMV office, it occurred to me to accumulate all of the possible data they might need inside. We grabbed the old registration, the insurance cards, the bill of sale, our passports, licenses, and social security cards. I also took a look at the odometer…

It was at 123454.

So we reset the trip-o-meter, left the lot, drove one mile down the road and right back to the DMV! I was so excited to whip out "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6" when they asked about it inside, but they never did. Oh well. I’ll just commemorate this auspicious moment right here.

Sarah’s parents recently gave her a gift card for the Apple store. They wanted her to have an iPad since they each have one and use them all the time (for work and Angry Birds). Well, it turns out they gave her more than enough store credit, which meant that Sarah was able to get a new phone as well–a good thing since AT&T doesn’t aim their satellites at our new house.

Of course, this means I inherited the old phone! This is good because now I can have a little camera with me to take pictures while I’m biking to work! Here’s a cow on a frosty pile of dirt just before dawn.

Wait, are you referring to the cow or the iPhone?
