We rented bikes in Newport and went for a little ride around the harbor. Thinking that convenience would be the best bet, we got them from a little gift shop right in front of our inn instead of a real bike shop. That turned out to be a mistake. The cruisers they gave us all had pretty wobbly wheels and once we’d gotten a few miles out of town, one of them decided to give out. The nuts holding the back wheel on weren’t tightened enough and the tire got jammed up against the frame. Fortunately, this being Newport there were a million sailing summer camps around and we borrowed an adjustable wrench and made it back safely.
This butterfly was on the inside of the shop where we got the bikes.
