In the background is the main caretakers’ cottage on Bakers Island. Dad has been caulking (uh huh huh…) the trim on the outside of the building, including the high up trim.

You see that lower roof below the dormer? It’s not as steep as the main roof, so Dad thought it would probably be OK (clever guy that he is) to stand a step ladder on it.

Well… Turns out it wasn’t a good idea. He was up the ladder when it started to slide. "Oh shit!" he yelled.
