a caddy, a barricade, a woman with a phone, and some creepy shadows

I mailed a package of documents to my adviser the other day. (It’s abstract/fellowship season!) He sometimes gets a little confused when I send him too many things at once, so this time I was careful to label everything very clearly. I even provided an inventory of the contents and a note explaining what he was supposed to do. I put everything neatly in a big envelope, sealed and addressed it (“Hello, envelope!”), and headed off to the post office. I bought a stamp from the machine, stuck it on the envelope, and promptly smeared the ink beyond legibility. (The lady behind the counter–who I was trying to avoid since meeting her required taking a number and sitting around for a long time–put some clear tape over my boo boo and told me to just re-write the address next to the label.)

I snapped this shot as I was walking out of the post office. It was kind of a last-minute, shoot-from-the-waist sort of deal. I almost made this one black and white… I’m glad I didn’t.

I'm glad you didn't go B&ampW too. Pink pants!

Also: I was going for a merkley???-type title. It didn't quite come out right. Not enough weird rhyming things.

(For those who don't know who merkley??? is, click my name.)
