Every year, I look forward to the two or three weeks when our lilac bushes bloom. You can smell them from out on the street and we love hanging out in their shade on the deck. This year, we had snow in late April and I was worried that it would fuck up the flowers. Quite the contrary. It turned out to be the best lilac year we’ve ever had!
