On Thanksgiving, it was pretty warm out. So Sarah and I, hounds in tow, hiked up Azure Mountain. It was much less crowded than last time.

It begins…

I’ve been telling everyone that it’s my fault we had such a mild winter last year. I bought cross-country skis and only got to use ’em twice. Shows me for having the hubris to think I could just go around skiing all over the place!

Well, this year I think the jinx has worn off.

Got me a Canon 40mm. Nice and cheap and petty good, if you ask this amateur.

We found a little field near our house where the hounds can run. They could, potentially, get up to the road. But it’s fairly far and they’re usually too lazy to go uphill.

I know, I know… Well, now that the semester’s nearly over, I can get back to the things that really matter!
