At first, I was a little annoyed at the dissertation submission requirements. I love formatting Word docs (margins, cross references, field codes, oh my!), but it was a pain finding a place that would print all 327 pages on 100% cotton fiber, 20/24 lb. bond paper. Not to mention the price of such a fancy-pants printing surface!

In the end, though, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The extra weight of the cotton paper made the thickness of the book much more impressive:

The important thing is that I can now (legitimately) sign my emails "Dr. Dre"!
