It was a little cold when Sarah and I visited. (Not too cold to sunbath on the side, but the water was frigid!) But apparently, the Arroyo Seco Creek in the Ventana Wilderness is the place to be in the summer! Not only is it loaded with swimming holes like this one, it’s rumored to have a backpacking route in which hikers put their bags in big waterproof sacks and float down the river on them. I’m there!
