A couple of kids skating near the rec sports facilities at UCB (I refuse to call it “Cal”!). There was a pudgy old man with suspenders and a tight t-shirt who looked anxiously undecided about whether or not to call the fuzz. On the sidewalk below, somebody on their way to the UCB/USC game called up to me, “Yo! They skatin’ up there?” I nodded.
