We drove home past Allen’s after a short hike the other day. Given the many warnings we’d been given about how severe the winters are in Potsdam, we figured the waterfall would by this point be a magical ice palace. So we parked, strapped on our microspikes, and headed over.
It wasn’t exactly what we were expecting (the ice was a little brown and there wasn’t a whole lot of it), but it was still pretty neat. Down at the bottom, the surface of the pool had acquired an interesting pattern. Check it out!
