plum season in Berkeley I
OMG! It’s plum season in Berkeley! The streets are littered with free delicious fruit! (More info: click!)
I’ve been eating myself sick every time I go outside.
flowers and a rock wall
fall colors and a white car hood
non-native species
At UCSB, if you walked around the cliffs near the lagoon, you’d inevitably encounter huge sheets of black plastic weighed down on the edges with sand bags. It took me a while to figure out what they were for, but it turns out that iceplant is an invasive species and the best way to get rid of it is to cut off its supply line to the sun!
Native or not, it looks pretty cool.
no lincoln logs
I just found out that Lincoln Logs were designed by Frank Lloyd Wright’s son John. The Internet informs me that he was inspired by his father’s Imperial Hotel
in Tokyo.
(The building above is the Marin County Civic Center
in San Rafael, designed by FLW in 1960.)
this could be Reno
A picture from a trip up to Lake Tahoe
last year. This murky pond was on the high side of a huge damn built to keep Reno from getting flooded.

Simple and excellent. Regretted not having my camera with me today.

What'd ya see?

Deep orange sunsets illuminating tan skins and silver beer cans. Ah, Rockaway Beach. A trashy beaut of a boardwalk.
