After a restless night while Sarah was working the graveyard shift at the ER, I had to get out of the house. So Otis and I decided to check out the Red Sandstone trail
starting in Hannawa Falls. We’d been on part of it before, but never the whole thing. It was great!

Halfway through, we went past the Sugar Island Dam. I don’t know if I was supposed to be getting so close, but there was a staircase leading down to a catwalk right above the outlet pipes. There wasn’t a ton of water, but it was still pretty impressive. I shot a (very) short video:
