If there’s one thing we’ve got around here, it’s "No Trespassing" signs!

Here’s something that has always bothered me. Why do the print the word "POSTED" bigger than everything else on the sign? I mean, obviously they "posted" it or I wouldn’t be seeing it. Seems like they’d make the "FUCK OFF" part the easiest to read so as to best communicate their intentions by posting the sign. (What if I had a car that instead of having turn signals on either side had one big illuminated sign in the middle that said "DRIVER HAS SIGNALED" and then in small letters below it "car will be turning right"?)

Well, according to the Internet, the inclusion of the word "posted" is better thought of as a legal notice that the proper signage has been put in place to prevent trespassers (most likely hunters) from doing their thing. (Source: link.)
