Almost back to the car on our Point Reyes hike, we encountered a gigantic puddle that blocked the entire trail. Sarah went for the wet-grass-and-shallow-water road on the right. I opted to go left and follow some precariously rocking logs laid out as bridges by previous hikers.

Both paths came to a wet end.
