I just moved here from California where we take our big trees very seriously. I’d heard about this Big Tree Park up north of Maitland and decided to go check it out. I noticed, however, that the park had an entry on Yelp so I read through some of the comments. User Rayni K wasn’t impressed:

"even though The Senator is impressively tall, I had a little bit of a ‘wah-wah-waaaaaah’ moment when I saw it because I was stupidly expecting it to be as tall the redwoods I’m used to in the West Coast. Nowhere near. At all. But hey, it’s the tallest Cypress tree. Just remember that. Cypress does not equal Redwood."

After reading that, I vowed to try and be more sympathetic.
