success!

After doing a little research the other day, I couldn’t wait to try out squirrel fishing.

I rigged up a couple poles made out of garden stakes, paper clips, and twine. But these turned out to be too flexible. Every time the squirrel let go of the nut, it would go flying up in the air. (The nut, not the squirrel.)

Eventually we realized that it was easier to just use the string itself.

Sarah had a real knack for it! (As you can see…) I got a couple of squirrels, but didn’t fare nearly so well as she. This is her prize catch, I think.

I guess those little bastards are pretty hungry.

We're going to have to try "seagull flying." One stole my entire sandwich the other day and has now become my "best friend."

success!
